The detailed bridge may include leases, pensions, minorities, preferred shares and investments. Definitions vary between data providers and analysis contexts.
Reconcile every bridge item and use a date consistent with the share price. Match enterprise value with measures such as operating cash flow or EBITDA, not net income without thought.
Cash may be restricted or needed to operate, and not all debt-like claims are obvious. A neat published multiple can hide a poor enterprise-value bridge.
